We overcame mountains; to find our way together,
Overcame racism; as well as societies judgements,
We held onto each other; as we stood in the cold.
But in the end, all was for nothing; you left me for another,
The tear on my pillow; told me it was the end,
I silently watched; standing in the rain.
But then karma had its way; the same was done unto you,
I stood there silently; a ghostly reflection in the mirror,
You may be long gone now; but the experience remains.
Perhaps when we meet across the river; we’ll reflect on it again.
